HOW WE CELEBRATED
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
On the 8th March, She Story hosted it's third International Women's Day event with dinner at The Entertainment Grounds, West Gosford on the Central Coast.
This years dinner honored the relationship that women have across the generations. We welcomed over 100 women to an empowering night and proved that when women support women, incredible things happen!
A night filled with inspiring stories, champagne, grazing tables, Flower Crown Making, Glam Your Glass workshop, lash and lip bar, wellness session, live performance from Teaghan Thompson, and so much more!
We heard from professional speaker, business adviser and entrepreneur, Jo Hurley, along with our guest panel including Kate Broadhurst (Central Coast Citizen of the Year), Sam Woods (VibrantConcepts Stylist and Author), Bec Woods (Pro Surfer), Olivia Edwards (youth entrepreneur) and Marianne Trevitt (retiree).
In celebration of our dress code #dressupitfeelsgood, we encouraged our guests to dress up and hashtag their photos from the night to be in the running to win a $500 Style Prize Pack thanks to VibrantConcepts.
It was an incredible night with a great atmosphere of women supporting one another, as we danced the night away with JC Entertainment and Events.
There are many to thank for their support and efforts on and towards the night, including; Star 104.5, The Entertainment Grounds, JC Entertainment and Events, Covet Creative, Seasons In Art Photograhy, Sparkd Events, A Dash of Christmas, The Coastal Bud, Glam R Us, W Tribe, Vibrant Concepts, and the we-couldn't-have-done-it-without-you She Squad committee members and volunteers (Judy, Shannon, Jenny) behind the scenes.
IN 2018 WE CELEBRATED
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY AT THE ENTERTAINMENT GROUNDS.
On the 8th of March, 2018, She Story hosted its second International Women's Day event - a dinner at The Entertainment Grounds, West Gosford on the Central Coast.
With three guest speakers, each with a diverse background and story, we welcomeed almost 200 women and a few awesome men to a night of stories, connections, good food, laughter, dancing, and genuine support of each other.
We heard from Star 104.5's Central Coast icon, Julie Goodwin, mum, author and the refreshing voice behind Willow's CP Journey, Tara Thompson, and Decks for Change Founder and outright philanthropist, Kirby Clark.
We were honoured to have a VIP table of She Survivors, five women and a chosen family or friend who has supported them in their battle against cancer. A very heartfelt thank you to The Entertainment Grounds and Erina Fair/Lendlease for making this possible.
There was a real buzz in the room on the night and a sense of anything is possible as we danced away to JC Entertainment and Events' dance floor tracks.
There are many to thank for their support and efforts on and towards the night, including; Star 104.5, The Entertainment Grounds, Erina Fair/Lendlease, JC Entertainment and Events, Covet Creative, Dumbo Feather, My Property Plan, 3M, Jade McDonald - Jamberry Independent Consultant, Natural Organika at North Avoca, Naturally Glutenfree, Morgans Financial Limited Gosford, Lisa Mallyon - Arbonne Independent Consultant, Bounce Australia, Styled and Stuff, The Posy Project, Andrew Cooney Photography, and the we-couldn't-have-done-it-without-you team members behind the scenes, Adrienne Donnelly (Coastal Social), Jade McKinnon, Ellodie Perry and Clayton Hamilton.
On the 19th of September, 2017, we gathered at Rhonda's Bar and Restaurant in Terrigal for an evening of drinks, nibbles and time to chat with each other; it was our kind of Rhond-ez-vous.
It might have been midweek, but we saw it as a good reason to step out for a sneaky wine and a catch up with the girls after a long day.
There were some familiar faces and new friends too, and how about that grazing table?!
Thanks to everyone who came along and made it a great night!
ON THE 8TH OF MARCH, 2017,
WE CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY AT MINGARA ON THE CENTRAL COAST.
Celebrating our launch and International Women's Day 2017, the She Story International Women's Day Breakfast event saw 158 women and two brave men gather at Mingara Recreation Club for a morning of inspiring stories, beautiful musical performances
and a whole lot open-minded love for being, meeting and aspiring to be kick-ass chicks.
Guests heard from seven-time Paralympian Liesl Tesch AM, country music star Gina Jeffreys and 5 Lands Walk founder Pauline Wright, as well as She Story's Suzy Miller and Tiff Doman.
Three of Gina's music workshops students performed originals and covers. Taeya Davison, Alicia Brock and Lily Lewis were exceptional and we have received so many comments from guests about just how wonderful these young ladies were on the day.
We are grateful to our She Story Tribe who helped pull together this jam-packed event in just 83 days from conception and we have plenty of feedback to help us form where we go from here.
It is our agenda to empower, inspire, support and celebrate women of the Central Coast, but also to act for positive change that sees these very women find their voice, their place and their tribe, to help them push further than they privately dream.
Thank you to all who attended our launch. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the general public and the local media's response to our She Story movement.
